Funnel cloud seen forming over Ventura County

01:58

A funnel cloud appeared within the skies close to Santa Paula Tuesday afternoon.

The Nationwide Climate Service mentioned it occurred at about 3:20 p.m. Video confirmed the funnel rising from a big cloud above the Ventura County metropolis.

A funnel cloud is a column of condensed water droplets combined with a rotating wind column. It sometimes seems to be cone-shaped, much like a twister.

Nonetheless, the rotating cone doesn’t contact the bottom. If it did, it might be categorised as a twister.
