JERUSALEM: Gaza’s historic Greek website of Anthedon has been bombed, its “Napoleon’s Palace” destroyed and the one personal museum burned down: the warfare has taken a horrible toll on the wealthy heritage of the Palestinian territory.
However in an odd coincidence, a few of its biggest historic treasures are secure in a warehouse in Switzerland.
And paradoxically, it’s all because of the blockade that made life within the Gaza Strip such a wrestle for the previous 16 years.
