US, Mexico to partner on semiconductor supply chain development – ThePrint – ReutersFeed

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – America will accomplice with Mexico to discover semiconductor provide chain alternatives, the State Division stated on Thursday, because the Biden administration pushes to scale back reliance on China and Taiwan for the know-how.

The collaboration will happen as a part of the U.S. CHIPS Act, a 2022 regulation that created a $500 million fund for growing the semiconductor provide chain via initiatives with allies and companions.
